Red Escapes From Hospital--May 22nd

Red escaped from the Tuft's large animal hospital..., with their blessing. He has many fans and admirers there and they were happy, but sad to see him leave. They did a wonderful job diagnosing, comforting him and us, getting him and us through successful surgery, managing his recovery, and sending him off with specific instructions about his care. We all learned alot and we hope to share some of those lessons and facts along the way. Currently, Red needs fastidious monitoring and care. He needs to heal and gain weight because of the surgery he went through, but his system is very fragile now and he can't take in a diet that is too ambitious.
Thankfully, he is in the loving care and confines of Ray Of Light Farm. In fact it was Bonnie, Ev and Susan that liberated him from the hospital and drove him back to the farm. While he is not ready for visitors just yet, we still need to raise money for his medical bills and care. We are committed to saving him, but it takes a village of people working and fundraising to make it possible. We have some great video of him in the hospital and many new pictures to post. Please keep visiting for the latest and to see the new photos. Also please send this link to any animal lovers who want to meet a sweet and adorable soul and witness his recovery as he beats the odds. And finally, please send any donations to us at the address below. We will have paypal donation capability next week on the site. For now we can process your credit card donations by calling us, or issue paypal requests that you can use by asking us to send them. Our e-mail is gettingthepicture@yahoo.com Checks can go snail mail to: Equine Angels Rescue Sanctuary, 214 Candlewood Mountain Rd., New Milford, CT 06776. Our web site is www.foalrescue.com and the phone is 203-733-3576. Thank you and stay tuned to his rescue journey.--For the horses, Frank at EARS
